Christmas Eve Meditation: There Was No Room in the Inn, No Crib For a Bed
Christmas is really the most materialistic time of the year, isn't it? That fact alone may have been one reason why the Puritans and other Christian preachers rejected Christmas. Arthur W. Pink renounced Christmas as a Papal superstition. Yet, Christmas may be the time of the year to actually make people see how materialistic they really are. All they think are the gifts and feasting never mind that the Lord Jesus left everything from above to become poor. While people think of how unfortunate they are, they never think that the Son of God had voluntarily given up His glory to be born among men. He wasn't born in a palace but in a stable.
