One of the greatest mistakes of evangelism today is to teach the Lord Jesus Christ as a Savior from Hell but not a Savior from sin.  The "Easy Christianity" crowd just want to be saved from the eternal consequence of sin but not from their sins.  It is highly offensive to the holiness of God that He should send His only begotten Son to die for sinners only to give sinners a license to sin. Matthew 1:21 says, "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins. "  Even before the incarnation of Christ as God becoming man, it was already announced by the angel Gabriel that Jesus would save His people from their sins.  The message has been salvation from our sins and not in our sins.  True that good works do not merit to earning salvation but one cannot deny that God's grace saves men from their sins.  Ephesians 2:10 still declares, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good

Titus 2:11-14 states that the grace of God leads one to be zealous of good works and to reject ungodliness.  Anybody who teaches that the grace of God is a license to sin is not saved.  Ephesians 2:8-9 and Romans 4:5 is no way a comfort for false converts that they can live like the rest of the world and still be considered saved.  Even if salvation cannot be lost but it does not mean that anybody who is saved will not get a real, transformed life. 1 Corinthians 6:11 states the wonderful truth of a life change saying that before you were saved, you were really unworthy and your wickedness showed it.  Now you are saved, you definitely are going to have a new life by the grace of God.  When there is a true conversion, true repentance and true faith then it goes daily.  You got saved, you are getting saved and you will be saved.  You repented of your sins, you are repenting of your sins and you will repent of your sins.  You are converted, you are being converted and you will be conve

It is indeed hypocritical for somebody to condemn the evils of gambling while being part of the prosperity gospel movement.  Years ago after I got out of Roman Catholicism and trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation, I started supported almost any ministry blindly.  I really was attracted to a certain charismatic pulpit.  It did not preach a God that was all love, it spoke of the coming judgment of God, it really spoke against the evils of the Vatican but it also taught the garbage of the prosperity gospel.  The pastor claimed to be a healing man but in fact, if he could really heal the sick then why does he not go to where the healing is really required?  It was all a sham of a pulpit because of all the fake healing conducted in the name of Jesus.  The problem of the prosperity gospel movement has always been give me your money and God will increase it.  It has become a combination of typical financial scams with religion.  These movements have violated God's s

James 1:26-27 warns, "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." Is your religion really changing your heart, pervading your manners and transforming you into a new creature or has it made you worse?  The problem with manmade religion and its focus on ritualism is that it is nothing more than a change of rituals, not a real change of character.  I have observed how people convert from one religion to another but there is really no real transformation.  One may go ahead and learn a different ritual like the Rosary or claim to "speak in tongues" but if there is really no change of heart, no pervading of manners and no transformation into new creatures then there is really no true and real conversion. Ezekiel 11:19-21 and 36:26-27 declares that when God saves the person, a new heart is given with new desires which leads to a new life.  1 Corinthians 6:11 declares that when the person is saved, the past life characteristics of being unworthy to inherit God's Kingdom becomes a different person as a result of being imputed with the righteousness of God.  The call for the Christian life is one of humility and never to boast. I remembered the quote by John Calvin saying that men are in greater danger in their prosperity than in their danger.  The more one is in prosperity the easier it is to be ensnared by the Devil.  When one is in the comfort zone, it is very easy to ignore danger.  Thieves usually strike during the night because most people are in the comfort of their sleep.  When one is in a comfortable bed, it is very easy to stay asleep and hard to get awake.  Man's own personal comfort is not necessarily evil.  Christians get that feeling of comfort when they are in fellowship, listening to hymnals or reading the Bible.  Comfort becomes evil when you get it from the wrong stuff. Whenever I mention that Peter could not be the first Pope because he was married, I do get answers that maybe Peter's wife already died or that he divorced her. What is funny is that whenever I read a copy of the Roman Catholic catechism, it says divorce is considered a sin yet in another page, it says that although Peter had a wife, he left her. They misquote Matthew 19:27 which says that the disciples left everything to follow Him. Considering that Roman Catholics love to pick one verse and leave out the rest then re-interpret them, I would like to address the side who believed Peter had divorced his wife to become the first Pope. The idea Peter divorced his wife would be a complete contradiction. In Matthew 19:4-8, we read that Jesus was strictly against divorce. When Peter said we left everything, it doesn't mean he divorced his wife and left any of their children if they had any. The Five Solas of the Reformation were Sola Scriptura, Sola Gracia, Sola Fide, Solus Christus and Soli Deo Gloria.  A Christian's theology must always be a Christ-centered one.  How I learned about the Lord Jesus Christ was through the power of the Holy Scriptures and not through anything else.  In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus preached from Scriptures.  In the Book of Acts, Peter preached from Scripture.  Paul preached from Scripture.  All the apostles preached from Scripture.  These were all Christ-centered theology.  You will find them saying, "It is written." in references to Scriptures or quoting from the authors of the Old Testament to show what is fulfilled in the New Testament are all part of Scripture. It has been some time since same sex marriage had been legalized and it is a sad day as United States of America might as well be called the United States of Sodom and Gomorrah. I could imagine how homosexuals may have partied all they wanted with all their disgusting activities. With this quote by John Calvin that says that the brightness of the sun is not diminished by the blind, the same goes when it comes to the blindness of unbelievers when it comes to the Gospel.  2 Corinthians 4:4 says that Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers to prevent them from seeing the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.  When that happens, Satan also sets the blind to lead the blind hoping to take them to Hell.  It takes a realization of one's own spiritual blindless to be freed from it. With Pope Francis really spewing more unbiblical nonsense, I have no reason to believe he is a man of God with all the attention he gets.  The fact that he even declares all who reject Christ to be qualified for Heaven should sound the alarm that he is not a man of God nor does he really know the Scriptures.  Most Roman Catholics are so ignorant about the full context of the Bible to the point they just buy whatever doctrinal garbage is thrown at them.  After all, is not the Papacy based on a severe misapplication of Matthew 16:16-18 and praying to Mary because one refuses to understand John 2:1-12 where it is obvious Mary did not intercede between people and the Lord Jesus Christ? While self-depreciation can become unhealthy at huge amounts but the problem is when man becomes obsessed with one's self.  The problem of this self-esteem movement is that the more you think nothing is wrong with you, the more praise yourself and love yourself, the more you are to receive positive reinforcement from the Devil.  What happens is that the more a person is obsessed with himself, the more the person says, "I do not need Jesus.  I am fine the way I am." There is a difference between a person who is enslaved by sin and who is struggling with sin.  Paul struggled with sin, he was not enslaved to it as written in Romans 7:13-25 which is so used by Antinomians to justify their heresy.  No, Paul was not indulging in sin but he was struggling with it. I am afraid today's churches are just all love and no repentance.  The idea of a repentless salvation or to equate repentance of sin to works salvation is just stupid.  The Greek word for salvation is "metanoneia" or a change of mind which results to a change in purpose.  When a person repents of their sins, it means they change their mind about sin, how offensive it is to God and how it really makes them deserve nothing but Hellfire for that sin.  Anybody who removes repentance as a necessity for salvation has been leading people to a false conversion.  Listen to this video to understand more about repentance.

John 15:18-19, James 4:4 and 1 John 2:15 warn about trying to please the world.  The Lord Jesus Christ already warned that either you are of the world or you are of God - there is no sensible compromise.  I remembered the stupidity of being told as a child that if I just keep doing what is right, I will not get into trouble.  But the more I read the Bible, the more I am horrified to see the ministers of God getting punished for doing right.  They were not just victims of close-minded people but they were also victims of doing right because the world as of right now still belongs to Satan's world system.  In short, the Christian lesson has always been, "Do right even if you get into trouble." The focus of doing right in the the Christian life is Soli Deo Gloria which means "Glory to God Alone".  The motive behind the work if it seeks that God be glorified and only He alone, that is a real good work otherwise it is not a good work.  Men of God do what is right

It does get annoying to think how everything matters but preaching the Gospel.   It is a great insult of the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15 that the Apostles were commissioned to preach the Gospel.  This scenario is true for anybody who is serious about preaching the Gospel while being in a church that is not serious about it.  Such a church should be given a question mark whether or not they are really and truly saved.  As Charles H. Spurgeon warns that if you have no desire for souls to be saved, maybe you are not saved to start with.

Some Roman Catholic apologists have already misrepresented the born again Christian movement to have desecrated Sunday fellowship.  If any institution claims to be a born again Christian movement but has turned the Sunday fellowship of believers into an entertainment driven church - then such a church it is not of Christ.  It may be a church but it not part of the Church, the body of Christ but it is an apostate church that is only destined to be destroyed.
