Faulty Interpretations of the Scriptures or BAD HERMENEUTICS!

Why is there much faulty interpretation of the Scriptures?  Here's a simple answer to a simple question- they DO NOT STUDY IT PROPERLY!  2 Timothy 2:15-16 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness."  How true.  2 Peter 1:20-21 says, "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." which further shows that Scriptures are not of man's interpretation but by God.

So how does the faulty interpretation of Scriptures start?  Simple.  Here's what's going on:

First, people DO NOT study hard on the Scriptures, they are TOO LAZY to do so and even rely on what people have to say WITHOUT re-examining things.  Wise pastors would have always said, "It's really STUPID to debate about the Word of God with an unbeliever."  How true.  2 Timothy 3:15-16 that it's best to shun profane babbling that means NO DEBATES with useless babblers.  That's why Baptist faith defenders should NEVER engage in debates with any scoffers like Catholic faith defenders, Pentecostal faith defenders or WHATEVER!  That's why this blog ministry does not allow comments because 99.9% of comments on Christian blogs end up being HATE COMMENTS.  Instead, they are to present their defense based on the REAL KNOWLEDGE of the Scriptures which can only be realized by studying the WHOLE BIBLE and not just one verse or two.  Those debates will only lead to MORE AND MORE THEOLOGICAL ERROR!

Here are some examples:

• False preachers take advantage that people do not like to study the Bible diligently so they become corrupt study guides to mislead the people.  No wonder so many people end up never realizing that they need to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior by putting their trust in Him ALONE for salvation and believing that He died for their sins and conquered death, and that He paid it ALL.  As said, He commands that all should believe or perish (John 3:16-36).
• Works salvation proponents do not really study the whole Bible even if they claim they study it for twelve hours a day WHICH THEY DON'T!  Well they do browse the Bible but only like point one, they make their own theology (or apply somebody else's theology) rather than let the Bible apply its theology.  Worse, they lie saying it's not their own even when it is their own and two, that they are letting Scriptures apply its theology when they don't.  Words are like leaves, it's rare to find fruit among them!
• Some Christians are misled into believing some heresies that are going on like that there will be no Blessed Hope, replacement theology (that God is done with Israel already) and not to mention, they misapply certain Scriptures in their excuse to be nasty and single out false preachers RATHER THAN singling out their doctrines.  Some even dare to misuse a few verses to justify entering into a debate (like 1 Peter 3:15-16) ignoring 1 Timothy 2:15.  There is a difference between defending the faith vs. debating the faith!

Second, it can also start when a person or even a religious institution (like the Vatican for instance), would use the Scriptures to fit into an INVENTED THEOLOGY rather than using the Bible and applying ITS THEOLOGY.  There is a difference between the two.  That is what Jesus calls in Mark 7:8-13 that the Pharisees placed their own theology above the Word of God and that's what MOST people are REALLY doing today.  Parodies or spoofs of the Christian faith like the Roman Catholic institution and the Westboro Baptists are born as a result of such sinful stupidity.  They breed as a result of how they take advantage of people's laziness to examine the Scriptures to implement their own invented theology.

Examples:

• A good example is how the official teachings of the Vatican has the Council of Trent write FIRST their catechism then WRITE IN the Word of God out of context in order to justify what they call as "truth" but when they are nothing more than a series of HALF-TRUTHS, so well-blended that the natural man can't discern the truth from the lie.  For example, the Catholic Bible has its ten commandments COMPLETE while the catechism takes away the second (concerning graven images) and then they call their opponents as heretics when they are also heretics themselves.
• Marian devotees quote Revelation 12 out of context.  They do not really refer to what the sun, the moon and the stars mean.  They fail to see that the woman is really Israel if they re-examine the dreams of Joseph.
• Many cults like the Watchtower Society and the INC use certain passages in the Bible to attack the very deity of Jesus Christ even when the Bible is clear of the hypostatic union of Jesus Christ- that He shared BOTH attributes of divinity (God) and humanity (flesh).
• Unrestrained theologians quote a few verses like love one another to justify the heresies of ecumenism, homosexual theology and that why Christians should not preach against their beliefs.  They fail to SEE THE REST of the Bible!
• Works salvation preachers would quote verses out of context in order to justify their hellish, Pharisaical doctrine and pervert verses that teach salvation is by grace through faith and not of works.  For example, they say that Ephesians 2:8-9 does not have the word alone and they mishandle Ephesians 2:10.  Of course Christians DO GOOD WORKS but it's not to stay saved or to be saved, it's THE RESULT OF BEING SAVED otherwise it would still be works salvation.
• Doomsday "prophets" quote Revelation ignoring the fact that Acts 1:7 DEBUNKS them entirely!
• Some Christians can be guilty of it too.  For example, a Baptist faith defender can use John 11 to speak of the Blessed Hope when it DOES NOT!

As said, the Bible applies its OWN THEOLOGY not fitting into MAN'S PERVERTED THEOLOGY!
