Despite God's Warnings, Many Atheists Harden Their Hearts Like the Pharaoh of the Exodus

Exodus 10:3 - "And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh and said unto him, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? Let my people go that they may serve me?"

So perhaps it's time to remember the whole Moses vs. Pharaoh of the Exodus encounter in Exodus 7-12. Moses was 80 years old and this new Pharaoh was probably a lot younger since the Pharaoh during the time Moses killed an Egyptian taskmaster out of rage had died, probably due to old age. Moses was told to return to Egypt and God would use him to deliver the people of Israel. And here's what - regardless of the signs God showed the Pharaoh of the Exodus, he simply kept refusing to let the people of Israel go. He hardened his heart continually (but it was all part of God's plan). God kept striking them, at the fourth plague which was the plague of lice, even when the magicians were forced to admit it was God's finger, still Pharaoh refused to let the people of Israel go (Exodus 8:16-19). He would not swallow his pride. After the death of the firstborn, he let them go but only to change his mind later.

In today's situation, atheist hate blogs (and it's best not to update on their hateful content) keep writing against God for allowing disasters to happen and despite that what could be counted as God's warning for man's ungratefulness for God's giving of peaceful weather such as praising it to the creation instead of the Creator (Romans 1:25). They say, "If God exists, why is this happening?" An atheist is a secular person, he/she does not look at the spiritual like how the Pharaoh considered the might of his magicians over that of the might of God. They just refuse to accept that there is a God and they continue to harden their hearts as they please and calling Christians as "subhumans" and "fools" for believing the Bible, just as the Pharaoh of the Exodus continued to consider Moses and Aaron to be insane. When relief comes, they still refuse to thank God just as the Pharaoh of the Exodus continued to refuse to let the people of Israel go free. They refuse to believe in God because they would rather run things THEIR WAY. It's their own judgment, not God's.

What can be worse is this - the typical atheist these days would even consider sin to be a fantasy word yet they continue to say certain activities are wrong- which again they fail to account for morality. Sin has brought man to a series of destructions and God has allowed disasters to fall as a means to get man to look up to God but many still refuse to. How sad really.
